I want to start this blog by writing a few words about one of my favorite self-hosted applications that I use on a daily basis, homepage.
As you can see above, it's a dashboard that combines shortcuts to web applications and bookmarks. I'm using it as my startup page in the web browser, so after starting to browse the web, I'm seeing the statuses of docker containers running on my server, basic statistics about some of the applications, server component usage and even the current weather in my location.
The configuration is very pleasant and hassle-free. This can be handled by YAML files, so adding more widgets is not a problem and can be done in a moment.
I've tried using a few other solutions like this, but this one works best for me, so I hope it will also be useful to someone reading this post. I leave a link to the project repo.
